The characterization and design of this study new liquid crystals with a V shape compounds containing thiazolidine-2,4-dione 1,3-phenylene as core unite mesophase properties were reported. Preparation chloroacetic acid, water, thiourea to produce [I] in the presence strong hydrochloric acid. 4-hydreoxybenzaldehyde n-alkyl bromide reacted potassium hydroxide create n-alkoxy benzaldehyde., then compound [II]n piperidine [III]n. Also, converted resorcinol corresponding [IV] by refluxing pyridine DMF two moles chloracetyl chloride, after that interacted [III]n sodium acetate form [V]n. FT-IR 1HNMR spectroscopy really used determine structures produced substances. Using polarized optical microscopy, these mesogens' mesomorphic characteristics studied (POM).The synthesized molecules exhibited enantiotropic crystal phases, substances [V]1-4 an only nematic phase.
